Roberto Arango
In August 2011, nude photos of Puerto Rican senator Roberto Arango were found on the gay hookup site Grindr. The divorced Arango initially claimed he didn't remember taking a shirtless photo attributed to him, and that he had been taking photos as he was losing weight, before more explicit photos later surfaced. He resigned his seat by the end of that month. Arango had supported anti-gay legislation, voting for a ban on same-sex marriage, opposing gay adoption rights, and blocking a measure to ban sexual discrimination, and worked on George W. Bush's 2004 re-election campaign in Puerto Rico. (Arango represents Puerto Rico's New Progressive Party, though he has close ties to the GOP.)
